  And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,  who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”  Acts 1:10-11 NKJV "In Like Manner"  Jesus will return as He was seen by the 11 disciples, those close to Him.  Jesus will come as the angels told the disciples, in the clouds for the ones who are close to Him as their personal Savior.  This is the Rapture of Jesus calling the believers up to meet Him in the air. In Zechariah 14:4-5   we read that e very eye will see Jesus when His feet touch the Mount of Olives, and all the saints will be with Him. This is the second coming of Jesus. Revelation 1:7   says, "Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.&qu

   Psalm 147:3: He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Proverbs 17:22: A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. James 5:15: And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.   Isaiah 33:24  "And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity."   Frazer's commentary on Isaiah 33:24  in Penny Pulpit says in short,  original sin is the root cause of sickness.    Matthew Henry's commentary on Isaiah 33:24, " The people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity, not only the body of the nation forgiven their national guilt in the removing of the national judgment, but particular persons, that dwell therein, shall repent, and reform, and have their sins pardoned.   My thoughts:  Man's sin cannot negate God's truth, the best example being David and the Psalms as mentioned in the article below.  However, if God's truth is presented in an ungodly and fleshly way how can we get to the truth of the lyrics? We are sidetracked by how it is presented when it appeals to our flesh and not our spirits.   I agree with Scott Shepherd that knowing the life of some of the song writers is also a distraction to God's truth in the lyrics.  I will add to his comments that only part of God's truth is presented in some of the "worship" songs.  Also, a shallow repetition of lyrics often leaves us wanting to go deeper in worshipping God in truth and spirit as His word says is the way we are to worship. John 4:24:  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
