Only Those Whose Have Accepted Jesus as Their Savior Will Enter the New Jerusalem (First blogged on April 2, 2023)

 


 

 "The Holy City" lyrics at the end say "All who will may enter in. It was the New Jerusalem."  

God's Word says: "The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life." Revelation 21:26

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  We must ask forgiveness and accept Jesus' atoning death on the cross, as well as His resurrection, and believe He is at the Father's right hand interceding for those who have made Him their Savior. We therefore are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Those who have the Holy Spirit given by the Father are the only ones who can enter the Holy City of the New Jerusalem. 

We must choose Jesus. We cannot just decide to enter the New Jerusalem without Him. Father God, draw us to Jesus so that we know Him today, so that we can enter the Holy City one day. 

Those who "will"/choose to enter the Holy City after the Tribulation Period in Revelation  must choose Jesus to enter their hearts now. Later will be too late.  They will be in hell then.  Please choose Jesus today if you have not.

Pray:  God, forgive me of my sins.  I know I am a born sinner. Cleanse me with the blood of Jesus.  I accept Your Holy Spirit into my spirit.  I believe I am now born again.  

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that who ever believes in Him will never perish but have eternal life.

Revelation 13:8 KJV   "All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world."   I believe the ones in the tribulation time who have not accepted Jesus will be the ones whose names will not and can not be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Why I Cannot Believe in the Doctrine of Election

There are a number of scriptures which use an inclusive noun when expressing God's love and forgiveness.  Examples are: all, anyone, whosoever. Revelation 13:8 states "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the beast which is Satan) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) slain from the foundation of the world." KJV This verse  in Revelation states that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. It does not say names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life since the foundation of the world. "From the foundation of the world" modifies "Lamb" who was slain from the foundation of the world. Therefore, Revelation 13:8 cannot correctly be used to support the doctrine of election in which God chooses some for eternal life to the exclusion of others.  This verse does not say that  God only writes the  names of the elect in the Lamb's Book of Life.
