We in 2 Corinthians 5:10 refers to those who have asked Jesus to be their Savior. Others will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. (Revelation 20:11-15 )
Shabbat Shalom from Galilee,
Aren’t we so blessed to live in an era and season when technology allows us to spread the good news of the gospel in a faster, safer, and relatively inexpensive way?
Yet, it seems to me that the age of digital consumption is not only being wasted by Christians, but also corrupts them. One would think that the most important thing that ever happened to us in our lives, our salvation through faith in Jesus the Messiah, would be the primary topic we are using the internet for. Yet in reality it’s the opposite.
In ancient times people risked their lives and crossed oceans to reach new continents with the message of salvation. Today, we’re too lazy to even press the “Share” button. Worse than that are the many content creators who are using the Bible for short, shallow, and very sensational videos only to gain popularity, views, followers, and, even in some cases, money.
Just a reminder that our time is short, and we are soon going to be out of here. And when we stand at the Bema Seat we will have ALL our words, deeds, and intentions tested by fire.
Please consider the portions of Scripture below written by my hero of faith, Saul of Tarsus, in his epistles to the messed-up church of Corinth found in 2 Corinthians 5 and 1 Corinthians 3:
“Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad, Knowing therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.”
“Each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
Grace & Peace.
Awaiting His Return,
Amir
