Is Your Name Written There?


Revelation 13:8 KJV

  "All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world."
 
I believe the ones in the tribulation time who have not accepted Jesus will be the ones whose names will not and can not be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. This is the only restriction. God knowing whose names are there is not a restriction on having one's name written there.

 It is our choice to be part of the elect, but we MUST CHOOSE JESUS!  Repent today and ask Him to forgive your sins, and invite His Holy Spirit into your heart. 

The Heavenly Father is waiting for you to come. He is ready to write your name in the Lamb's Book of Life. Come to the REAL JESUS today! 

Isaiah 30:18 (NLT) But the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for him to help them.

Father God, draw those who read this blog to Jesus today. Thank you!  I ask this in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Your Son, Jesus Christ, The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, the Beginning and the End, the Bright Morning Star, the Prince of Peace, the only One who will bring peace to the world in the end, and peace to our hearts right now.  Amen!

The doctrine of election bothers me greatly! I believe those who believe it are missing something in God's Word and in His character. After all, the Bible says in Romans 11:33-36 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor?

    Curious which translation you used above in your post? The New American Standard Bible is considered by some sources as the most literally translated of major 20th-century English Bible translations. The NASB is an original translation from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. The ESV and NIV also include "from the foundation of the world"

There are a number of scriptures which use an inclusive noun when expressing God's love and forgiveness.  Examples are: all, anyone, whosoever. Revelation 13:8 states "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the beast which is Satan) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) slain from the foundation of the world." KJV This verse  in Revelation states that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. It does not say names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life since the foundation of the world. Therefore, Revelation 13:8 cannot correctly be used to support the doctrine of election in which God chooses some for eternal life to the exclusion of others.  This verse does not say that  God only writes the  names of the elect in the Lamb's Book of Life.
