Amir Tsarfati: Parable of the Ten Virgins

Best as I can understand, Amir believes the wise virgins had the Holy Spirit. The foolish virgins did not. The foolish only had an outward appearance, but God did not know them personally.

The wise virgins were continually being filled with the knowledge of God because they had received His Holy Spirit. The foolish thought they knew God but they had not committed their lives to Him. They were only religious and not born again.

Wisdom, according to Amir, throughout the Bible stands for the Holy Spirit, God's wisdom.

Amir did not say that you lose the Holy Spirit, he said some people don't have the Holy Spirit, just religion and this is not the same. This is evident in that there is no continual fellowship with God and there is no fruit of the Spirit in their lives. Therefore they had no oil when the Bridegroom, Jesus, came.

See if you think this is what he said. It took him a while to build the background, but it seems to come together at the last part of the teaching.

We must continue to be filled with the knowledge of God each day as we study His Word. In that way we know we have oil because His Holy Spirit bears witness with His Holy Word. Therefore, we are wise virgins.

However, we must ask forgiveness for our sins as we believe in Jesus. Then God gives us His Holy Spirit. Simply joining a church does not make us born again of God's Holy Spirit.  Pray right now and receive from God.
