This Same Jesus

 

This event is the Rapture of the church.  The following scripture is the event when Jesus returns with His church and every eye will see Him. Only the true believers will know when the Rapture takes place.  The world will be shocked that so many people are missing, and they will have an answer which will be far from the truth, as is many things which are being taught about Jesus now are far from the truth.

 

 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. ¹⁰ And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, ¹¹ who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11 NKJV

"The two men referred to Christ as, this same Jesus. This reminds us that the Jesus who ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father is the same Jesus of the Gospels. He is the same Jesus of love, grace, goodness, wisdom, and care. The Jesus in heaven is this same Jesus.

Then also added a wonderful promise: Jesus will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven. This Jesus will return just as He left.

– He left physically and will so come in like manner.
– He left visibly and will so come in like manner.
– He left from the Mount of Olives and will so come in like manner.
– He left in the presence of His disciples and will so come in like manner.
– He left blessing His people (Luke 24:50-51) and will so come in like manner."  David Guzik

 “So if they say, ‘Run to the country and see him arrive!’ or, ‘Quick, get downtown, see him come!’ don’t give them the time of day. The Arrival of the Son of Man isn’t something you go to see. He comes like swift lightning to you! Whenever you see crowds gathering, think of carrion vultures circling, moving in, hovering over a rotting carcass. You can be quite sure that it’s not the living Son of Man pulling in those crowds.  Matthew 24:26 MSG

 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. NKJV

It is interesting to note that the angels said that this same Jesus will return as He left.  Jesus warned that a false Jesus would come, and not to go where crowds were gathering, not to go to the desert. 

Hopefully and prayerfully all of us and our families will be in heaven with Jesus at this time because we will have been raptured.  Hallelujah!  Even so come, Lord Jesus. Luke 17:34 speaks of this.

 We await Your appearing to Your church of true believers. It could be any day now!  Keep us, Father God, in the palm of Your hand. Keep us on the narrow road. Keep us from worshiping a false Jesus who is here, just not in the desert yet, even though crowds are following him already.  Help us to know who You really are from Your Holy Word.   In Jesus' name.
