Jesus Did Not Tell Anyone Not To Worship Him

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:1-2

The important part of this scripture is that God sent men from far away to worship Jesus.

The important part of Revelation is in 5:13.
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

In Matthew 4:10 we read " Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

Jesus did not tell anyone in the Bible not to worship Him. The Gospels record a number of times when various people worshiped Him and He did not stop them. I think of several including John the Baptist, Peter, Mary Magdalene, and a study would reveal more I am sure.

Jesus is the Son of God. That is why He was worshiped when He walked among men. That is why Jesus did not tell anyone not to worship Him.

One day every knee will bow. Philippians 2:11 says,"that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

As a postscript to my post, I will add another thought. Jesus is God. Some religions fail to acknowledge this but Jesus plainly says He is to Philip as recorded in John 14:9: NKJV
Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
