Feelings vs. God's Truth

Image
Romans 12:10 (The entire chapter is so good!) Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; I thought of this verse after listening to this podcast. It is so dangerous to base our relationship with God and others on our feelings. Yeah, sure these feelings vindicate our behavior and what we say, we FEEL. But what does God say in His word how we are to treat one another? Even in private relationships! When you think no one sees, God sees! We harm ourselves, as well as those we SAY we love. Father God, help us to think about what we say before we speak. You say our words can hurt others. You say much in Your Holy Word about how to treat others, even our enemies, and certainly our loved ones. Show us our hearts and the truth of why we are saying what we say that may be hurting others. Guard our minds and our mouths. Let the meditation of our hearts and the words of our mouths be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord my God...

The Lord Will Rescue Me

Image
2 Timothy 4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Father God, I look to Jesus who has rescued me from hell and rescues me from the plans of the enemy each day and will bring me safely to heaven. “Blessing and honor and glory and power be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever!” In Your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Watchman, What of the Night? How Much Time is Left?

Isaiah 21:11-12 Living Bible  11 This is God’s message to Edom: Someone from among you keeps calling, calling to me: “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? How much time is left?” 12 The watchman replies, “Your judgment day is dawning now. Turn again to God, so that I can give you better news. Seek for him, then come and ask again!” The prophet Isaiah is talking about the future of Judah. He is calling Israel back to God. God has sent His judgement using the surrounding heathen nations. Today many Christians cry, "How much longer God? Maranatha. Come Lord Jesus!." The world is on a downward spin. People are out of control. It is difficult to live in the chaos of this world's disorder as we look around us. We will all face the judgment. Praise God, those who have asked God's forgiveness and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior do not have to stand in the Great White Throne Judgment. However, we will be judged as to how we have lived o...
