I Felt the Warmth of God's Feathers Today

 


Psalm 91:4 

 He will cover you with his feathers. 

 He will shelter you with his wings. 

 His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

 Matthew 23:27 

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!" (Jesus' Words)
 
Lord God, make me always willing to come to You to be under Your wings when I am feeling depressed and down, no matter the reason.  
 
Thank You I actually felt Your warmth when I was listening to "You are My Hiding Place." I felt the warmth of Your feathers as You held me close.
 
Thank You the depression and down gave way to praising You and amazingly the dreary day turned into a sunny day. 
 
You are so good! Great is Your faithfulness morning by morning!
 
Jeremiah recognized this recorded in Lamentations 3:23.  "Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."  How I love this verse, Dear Lord.  I am reminded most every morning.
 
I needed extra reminding today, and You were faithful.  Praise You now and forever!     I love that Psalm! And I do the same thing - I picture myself a little chick running to be protected under the Lord's wings where its safe and I'm loved.

Why I Cannot Believe in the Doctrine of Election

There are a number of scriptures which use an inclusive noun when expressing God's love and forgiveness.  Examples are: all, anyone, whosoever. Revelation 13:8 states "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the beast which is Satan) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) slain from the foundation of the world." KJV This verse  in Revelation states that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. It does not say names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life since the foundation of the world. "From the foundation of the world" modifies "Lamb" who was slain from the foundation of the world. Therefore, Revelation 13:8 cannot correctly be used to support the doctrine of election in which God chooses some for eternal life to the exclusion of others.  This verse does not say that  God only writes the  names of the elect in the Lamb's Book of Life.
