You Shall Surround Me with Songs of Deliverance

 


 

Psalm 32:5-11 

5 I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

6 For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You
In a time when You may be found;
Surely in a flood of great waters
They shall not come near him.

 

 7 You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

 

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.

10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked;
But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.
11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous;
And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

Father God, Thank you for making a way back to You through sending Jesus, Your only begotten Son.  Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins.  I acknowledge You as my Lord and Savior.  Father God, thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit.  Thank You for forgiving my sins each and every day.  You see me as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Thank You I can live more righteously every day with the power of Your Holy Spirit.  I acknowledge Your Holy Spirit's presence in my life today.  In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

    I love that He is our hiding place - I picture us as little chicks running to hide under His wings and it brings me peace and comfort.

Revelation 13:8 KJV   "All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world."   I believe the ones in the tribulation time who have not accepted Jesus will be the ones whose names will not and can not be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Why I Cannot Believe in the Doctrine of Election

There are a number of scriptures which use an inclusive noun when expressing God's love and forgiveness.  Examples are: all, anyone, whosoever. Revelation 13:8 states "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the beast which is Satan) whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) slain from the foundation of the world." KJV This verse  in Revelation states that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. It does not say names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life since the foundation of the world. "From the foundation of the world" modifies "Lamb" who was slain from the foundation of the world. Therefore, Revelation 13:8 cannot correctly be used to support the doctrine of election in which God chooses some for eternal life to the exclusion of others.  This verse does not say that  God only writes the  names of the elect in the Lamb's Book of Life.
